Manoj Bajpayee goes international with In The Shadows

Manoj Bajpayee is the latest Bollywood actor to work in a foreign film. He is shooting for an international movie, In The Shadows, in Delhi. Oscar-nominated Belgian actor Laura Verlinden will be seen opposite him. Ranveer Shorey, Neeraj Kabi and Shahana Goswami will also be seen in the film.

The script of In The Shadows was a finalist at the Sundance Screenwriting Lab 2015, Torino Lab 2015 and Tribeca All Access 2016.

“As a kid I would walk through the maze of alleys fearing that if I took a wrong turn somewhere and got lost, I will be trapped in the alleys forever. Also, I want to tell a story that is simple to follow and connects emotionally, but is also structurally intricate, so that the audience is forced to put the pieces of the puzzle together,” said Dipesh Jain in a statement.

In the film, Bajpayee plays Khuddoos (Bajpayee), a lonely man who watches people through hidden cameras. One day, he hears a boy being beaten, the sound piercing through the walls of Khuddoos’ own house. He wants to find the boy, and the search becomes so neurotic that he loses his grip over reality.
